In today’s world full of all sorts of air bound pollutants, cleaning air ducts in your residence is a priority. Keeping your vents dust free and your registers clear of any debris, can improve the quality of your indoor air as well as reduce energy costs.

Many companies are ready to come in and clean your ducts professionally. Duct work system grates are all removed and a hose with a rotating brush is inserted into the duct and cleans the interior of all the trunks and branches. Vacuuming any debris as they go.

Filters are changed and service is taken care of at the furnace. This whole operation should be done no less then annually and more often is better, if you have an older system.

This service can be done by the home owner with a few tips. Start by removing the greats in the floor or walls of your home. Insert a common wet dry vac hose into the opening and vacuum any dust from the duct. Hose extensions will be required to reach all the areas of your system.
